Guys and Dolls
Village Playbox will present it's first mainstage summer production, the Tony Award winning musical, Guys and Dolls. Guys and Dolls is a musical romantic comedy involving the unlikeliest of Manhattan pairings: a high-rolling gambler and a puritanical missionary, and a showgirl dreaming of the straight-and-narrow and a crap game manager who is anything but. Set in the Manhattan of Damon Runyon’s short stories, Guys and Dolls tells of con-man Nathan Detroit’s efforts to find new life for his illegal, but notorious, crap game. When their trusty venue is found out by the police, Nathan has to find a new home for his crap game quickly - but he doesn’t have the dough to secure the one location he finds. Enter Sky Masterson, a high-rolling gambler willing to take on any honest bet with a high enough reward attached. Nathan bets Sky that he can’t take the “doll” of Nathan’s choosing to Havana, Cuba, with him on a date. When Sky agrees to the bet, Nathan chooses uptight Evangelist Sergeant Sarah Brown, head of Broadway’s Save-a-Soul Mission. Sky thinks he’s been duped, but he’s in for even more of a surprise when his efforts to woo Sarah are so successful that he falls in love with her himself!

1. Select the type of ticket.
2. Select "Add to Cart".
3. You will be taken to the shopping cart page where you will enter the quantity of tickets desired. After you enter the quantity, select "Update Cart". (The amount should now reflect the quantity of tickets "times" the individual ticket price).
5. If you are finished, you can then select "Proceed to Checkout"
6. If you are ordering a combination of type tickets, order your first type by selecting the type and clicking "Add to Cart". On the "Shopping Cart" page select "Continue Shopping" which will allow you to then repeat the above for additional type tickets. BOTH sets of tickets will then appear in your shopping cart. Indicate the quantity for each type ticket and select "Update Cart". Then select "Proceed to checkout" and complete your purchase.
7. You will be asked for a shipping and billing address (required for all credit card purchases), but tickets are NOT mailed. They will be held for you at the box office on the day of the performance.
If at anytime you make a mistake or need to change your order BEFORE it has been processed, simply click on the "Remove" box and select "Update Cart". Any questions, please feel free to contact us at info@villageplaybox.org.
